Jomo Thomas accepted his call to ministry in January 1998 at the age of 25 while serving as an usher at the Kirkland Air Force Base Gospel Service. Pastor Jomo Thomas was ordained in Pentecostal Church of God Inc. in January 2000. Currently Jomo Thomas is an Ordained Minister with the Church of God Cleveland TN, which he has been licensed and serving with since April 2003. In his time of ministry service, Pastor Jomo Thomas has served the Lord in several ministerial capacities in three local churches, Joy Temple C.O.G.P. 1998-2000; Power House C.O.G. 2000-2003,2010-2011 and Praise Temple C.O.G. 2003-2011, Youth Pastor, District Youth Director, Associate Pastor, Assistant Pastor, Administrative Pastor, and acting Senior Pastor in various churches in New Mexico and Detroit MI.
Family: Pastor Jomo Thomas is foremost a man of God husband and father, he and his wife (Timika Thomas) have four wonderful children Tiahna Taylor, Candace Thomas, Elijah Thomas and Justin Williams.
Career: Pastor Jomo Thomas is armed forces veteran having served in the U.S. Army/Army Reserves for 9 years. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and substance abuse counselor. He is currently employed at Youth Development Inc. (YDI) as their Clinical Director servicing families in the metro community. Pastor Thomas also provides Christian marriage and family counseling, and substance abuse counseling services at the Power House Church and in his Rio Rancho office.
Education: Pastor Jomo Thomas has with God’s grace completed several academic degrees. He has earned a Bachelor Science in Business Management and a Master of Counseling in Marriage and Family Therapy Degree from the University of Phoenix. Pastor Thomas has also earned a Masters in Theological Studies Degree with a concentration in Old Testament from Moody Theological Seminary.
Pastor Jomo Thomas’s heart is in the proclamation of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to the lost and in the disciplining of all believers through the thorough teaching of God’s Word.
